BIOGRAPHY
Alice was born in Italy and read Media Studies at the University of Bologna, where she had the opportunity to deepen her knowledge of the History of Cinema and its aesthetic theory. She worked for the Filmoteca Española (Spanish National Film Archive) in Madrid, where she was in charge of organizing monthly retrospectives. She attended several linear and non-linear editing courses and, in 2007, enrolled in the Diploma course at the London Film Academy – where she had the opportunity to work on several short films in different key roles and was selected as ‘Cinematographer of the Year 2008’.

Her first short film as a director, Into The Light (2008), has been screened in several film festivals across Europe and the USA and won the Golden Palm Award at the Mexico International Film Festival '09 and the Critics Award at the Acquedolci Independent Film Festival  '09. She has been working for the Palestine Festival of Literature, filming the festival's events in 2009 and 2010 and aiming to cut together the footage in a documentary. She has recently produced Maydoum, a short film based on an original screenplay by best-selling novelist Ahdaf Soueif and starring Khalid Abdalla (United 93, The Kite Runner), and The Loop, a short film made with the support of the UK Film Council that has just been screened for the press and industry at the prestigious Edinburgh International Film Festival 2010. She is currently writing a script set in  Sicily and finishing the post-production of a short film.
