
BIOGRAPHY
Alice was born in Italy and read Media Studies at the University of Bologna, where she had the opportunity to deepen her knowledge of the History of Cinema and its aesthetic theory. In 2008 she graduated at the London Film Academy – where she attended a one year Diploma course and had the opportunity to work on several short films in different key roles. Since then, Alice has been working as Assistant Director and in Production, working on a few award winning feature films and on lots of TV series, promos, commercials and short films, alongside famous actors (Alan Rickman, Michael Byrne, Leigh Francis, Perry Benson) and successful directors (Sara Sugarman).
Her first feature film as 1st Assistant Director - Life Just Is - was premiered at the prestigious Edinburgh International Film Festival in 2012 and was in competition as Best British Film. The film got UK distribution and has been screened all around the country in prestigious venues like the BFI and Riverside Studios. She has recently worked on Quick Cuts - a new sit-com for BBC4 - and on Soldiers of the Damned – a thriller/horror feature film set in WWII, currently in post-production.
Alice was Production Manager on The Patrol - an ambitious war film shot in Morocco - that has recently won an award as Best Film of the Festival at Raindance Festival 2013 and was nominated for the British Independent Film Award 2013. The Patrol got UK distribution and has been screened across the country, receiving numerous positive reviews on well-established newspapers like The Guardian and the Financial Times.
Alice was also Production Manager on Rearview, a horror/thriller starring Antonia Thomas (Misfits), currently in post-production. She has also produced a few successful short films, including The Loop - which premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival in 2010 and was made with the support of the UK Film Council - Maydoum - a short film based on an original screenplay by best-selling novelist Ahdaf Soueif and starring Khalid Abdalla (United 93, The Kite Runner) - and Eleven Fifty Six – which was in competition at the Palm Springs International ShortFest and at the LA Short Fest in 2011.
She is currently in pre-production as 1st AD for Spaceship, a feature film that has been selected and funded by iFeatures, due to be shot in spring 2014.
